ORGANIC FERTILIZERS

An Organic Fertilizers is produced from farm waste, animals and plants or ancillary materials-based industries agriculture decayed and processed. It’s composed of naturally occurring biodegradable materials. Common organic fertilizers are made with animal manure, but they may also contain compost, seaweed, peat moss, mineral deposits and other ingredients from nature.

Through the ages people know that using organic fertilizer is an old way. Ancient people used compost and feces, but nowadays the organic fertilizers vary a lot.

The sources of materials and complexity of decomposition are very different, and the source can be classified into two sorts: one is farm organic fertilizer, including farmyard manure, green manure, and discarded resultant organic; the other is commercial organic fertilizer, rooted in the wrack or waste of microorganism, animals, and plants, turf, extraction, or enriched organic fertilizer. The commercial products are compounded according to a certain standard, so the ingredients are comparatively fixed.

There are big differences in the speed of decomposition of organic materials. Generally, green manure, feces, meals, compost, and residues of animals and plants decompose fast, while those organic materials with lignin and high humus, such as peat, tree bark compost, etc., decompose slowly.

For soils that are deficient of organic matters (less than 2%), only by strengthening some hard-to-decompose organic matters (such as peat) when applying organic fertilizer can the content of organic matters in the soil be increased year after year. However, while the decomposable organic matters mainly supply nutrients that are released, the organic matters that have been accumulated over the years are very few. From this point, it is very necessary to add the decomposable and not easily decomposable organic matters when applying the organic fertilizer. It will not only provide long-period nutr5552ients, but also maintain the function of soil, which is obviously a win-win method for the soil.

Best substitute for organic fertilizer is to change the use of organic fertilizer to bio-organic fertilizer where composting become much easier and faster.
